Parent Letter August 27th
Dear Parents,
What a great first
day of 3rd grade! The boys
and girls were ready and prepared. It
will be a good year.
Some important
information for you:
- Save the Date….September 12th
is our Annual Title One Meeting at 6:30pm.
Please plan now to attend.
- Please make sure your child has all
their school supplies. We have already started using the notebooks and
folders. It will be helpful if everyone has their things soon.
- Please check your child’s homework
agenda every night and sign. This helps me know that you see what is
required to do at home.
- If you have extra pencils you would
like to donate to our class, that would be helpful. Our pencil sharpener
is not working well, and I would like to keep a supply of sharpened
pencils for the students to borrow throughout the day. Please send these in if you would like
to.
- The Tuesday Packet today has many
flyers for you to look over. Please
sign the outside and return it each week.
In the future you will have graded papers to see.
Thank you for
supporting your child’s education!

A Fresh Start!
Welcome to my new blog!
I decided to create a new blog for a new school year. You see, after 10 years of teaching 5th grade, I will be teaching 3rd grade for the first time. In a way, I feel like a "rookie" all over again. I am excited and nervous for this new change, but I think we will all have fun along the way.
Why am I not using my old blog anymore?
Well, that blog's website had the word "5th" in it. Since I'm not in 5th grade this year, I didn't want to confuse anyone.
What kinds of things will you see on this website?
Enjoy the rest of your summer....see you soon!
